Privacy Policy

Overview

Broomie ("the App") is developed and maintained by LL Cloud Development & Operations ("we", "us", "our"). The App is a storage cleaner, storage analyzer and optimizer for Android. This policy explains what the App accesses, what leaves your device, and your rights.

The short version

All scanning and cleaning happens on your phone. Your file names, folder paths, photos and list of apps are never sent anywhere. Broomie does not upload your files, and it never sells or shares what is on your phone.

How each feature handles your data

Scanning and cleaning

Broomie scans your storage on the device to find junk, caches, empty folders, installers, large files, exact duplicates, screenshots and chat media. The results, and the items you choose to protect, stay on the phone.

Recently deleted

When you clean your own files, Broomie keeps them on the phone for days so you can restore them. Caches and junk are deleted directly. Nothing in Recently deleted is copied off the device.

Photos

Similar photos are compared on the phone to suggest which one to keep. Your photos are never uploaded or analyzed anywhere else.

All files access

Broomie asks for All files access so it can find and clean files anywhere on your storage and power the storage analyzer, which shows every folder by size.

Usage access

Used to read app sizes and when each app was last used, so Broomie can show unused apps. This information is read and kept on the device only.

Notifications

Used for the Power mode pairing code, a reminder before a free trial ends, and a warning when storage space runs low.

Uninstalling apps

Broomie can open Android's own uninstall dialog for an app you choose to remove. Android asks you to confirm every time.

Power mode and Wireless debugging

Optional. Broomie pairs once with your phone's own Wireless debugging and runs a small local helper. The helper is bound to the phone's loopback interface only, so nothing outside the phone can reach it, and no computer is involved. Root can be used instead if your phone has it. Power mode's helper also grants Broomie permission to change secure system settings, which it uses only to turn Wireless debugging back on and to set the animation scales you choose.

Data we collect

The App collects a small amount of technical data through the services below. It never contains file names, folder paths, photos or the list of apps on your phone.

  • Usage analytics (Google Firebase Analytics): anonymous product events, such as a scan or a clean finishing, so we can see which features work and where people get stuck. No advertising ID is used and no file names are included.
  • Crash reports (Sentry): in release builds, if the App crashes, a technical report with the stack trace, device model and app version is sent so we can fix it.
  • Purchases (Google Play and RevenueCat): the Pro subscription is processed entirely by Google Play. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID to verify and restore your subscription. We never see your payment details.

Diagnostics you send us. If you choose to email the App's diagnostics, your email app opens with a report you can read before sending. It contains no file names. Nothing is sent unless you send it.

We do not use advertising identifiers, advertising SDKs, or any form of tracking across apps. The App shows no ads, ever.

Third-party services

Data retention and deletion

Settings, scan results, protected items and Recently deleted live on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the App or clear its data. Analytics and crash data are retained by the services above under their own retention periods and are not linked to your identity. To have any data deleted, contact us at the address below.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We will update this page when the policy changes and update the date at the top.
