Overview

Lithie ("the App") is developed and maintained by LL Cloud Development & Operations ("we", "us", "our"). The App is a battery health and charging app for Android. This policy explains what the App accesses, what leaves your device, and your rights.

The short version

There is no account, and your battery history stays on your phone. Your charges, health figures, charger names and alarms are kept in a database on the device and in backup files you choose to make yourself. Lithie does not sell your data and shows no ads.

How each feature handles your data

Battery readings and health

Lithie reads charge level, current, power, temperature and voltage from the phone to show live charging and to measure battery health from your charges. These readings, and the health figures worked out from them, are stored on the device only.

Charge history and chargers

Each charge, its curve, its power figures and the names you give your chargers are saved in the App's own database on the phone. They are never uploaded.

Battery use per app and app icons

Per-app battery use comes from the system's own figures, read on the device. Lithie shows each app with its name and icon, which it reads from the phone on the device only. The list of apps and their use stays on the phone.

Wake locks

Optional, part of Lithie Pro, and only with Power mode switched on. Lithie reads the system's wake lock statistics, which show which apps kept the phone awake or woke it up, and the list of installed apps, on the device only. When you choose to restrict an app in the background or stop its background activity, Lithie asks Android to do it only after you confirm, reads the result back from Android, and you can undo it at any time. Nothing about your installed apps is sent anywhere.

When each app was last opened

Optional, part of Lithie Pro, and only with Power mode switched on. To rank its wake lock suggestions, Lithie reads when each app was last opened from Android's own usage statistics, through Power mode. This is read on the device only, kept in memory for a short while, and never stored off the phone or sent anywhere.

App control

Optional, part of Lithie Pro, and only with Power mode switched on. Lithie reads the list of installed apps on the device to show them with a safety rating. Restricting an app in the background, freezing it, turning it off or force stopping it happens only when you confirm that action, for one app or for several you picked, and Lithie reads each result back from Android. With root, you can also remove a preinstalled app for your user (its data is kept so it can be restored). Lithie never restricts, freezes or turns off an app your phone needs. Nothing about your installed apps is sent anywhere.

Cable check

When you check a charger and cable, Lithie reads what the phone reports about the connection: what the charger offered, the voltage and current agreed, the connection type, the power that reached the battery and Android's own USB warnings. If you save the check, it is kept with the charger and cable names you gave, in the App's database on the phone. These readings stay on the device and are never uploaded.

Full cycle charge

The guided full cycle uses the same battery readings as the rest of the App, and its result is stored on the device only.

Backup and restore

You can back up your history to a file and restore it later, for example on a new phone. You choose where the file goes. Lithie does not send it anywhere.

CSV export

You can export your charges, drain periods, chargers or the readings of one charge as CSV files. You either save a file where you choose or share it through Android's share sheet, with the app you pick. Lithie does not send it anywhere itself.

Battery report

The battery report is plain text. It is only shared when you share it yourself, through Android's share sheet, with the app you pick.

Smart plug

Optional. If you enter a smart plug's web address, Lithie opens that address once per charge when the limit is reached. The request goes only to the address you entered, which is your own plug or service. The address is stored on the device, and we never see it or the request.

Notifications

Used for charge alarms (full, low and heat), the live charging notification, the steps of a full cycle charge, the Power mode pairing code you type in during setup, a note if setup stops working, and a reminder before a free trial ends.

Power mode and Wireless debugging

Optional, part of Lithie Pro. Lithie pairs once with your phone's own Wireless debugging and runs a small helper on the phone. No computer is involved. Root or Shizuku can be used instead if your phone has them. The helper only runs a fixed list of commands: battery reads and settings, the wake lock statistics, installed app list and app usage times described above, the charger and USB readings for the cable check, and the app actions you confirm. It also grants Lithie permission to change secure system settings, which it uses only to turn Wireless debugging back on and to switch your phone maker's own battery protection on or off for the charge limit.

Data we collect

The App collects a small amount of technical data through the services below. It never contains your battery history, cable check readings, your installed apps, when you use them, or any personal content.

  • Usage analytics (Google Firebase Analytics): app usage events, such as a screen being opened or a setting being turned on, so we can see which features work and where people get stuck. Events carry an app instance ID. No advertising ID is used, and no battery history, smart plug address or package name of any app on your phone is ever included.
  • Crash reports (Sentry): in release builds, if the App crashes, a technical report with the stack trace, device model and app version is sent so we can fix it. The same service records diagnostics such as app freezes and startup timing.
  • Purchases (Google Play and RevenueCat): Lithie Pro, as a subscription or a one-time purchase, is processed entirely by Google Play. RevenueCat receives your purchase history and an anonymous app user ID to verify and restore Pro. We never see your payment details.

All data sent by the App is encrypted in transit. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone for their own use. We do not use advertising identifiers, advertising SDKs, or any form of tracking across apps. The App shows no ads.

Third-party services

Data retention and deletion

Your settings and battery history live on your device. You can delete them at any time by clearing the App's storage or by uninstalling it. Backup files you made yourself stay wherever you saved them until you delete them. Analytics and crash data are retained by the services above under their own retention periods. To have that data deleted, email us at the address below.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes
