Questions
Can I get a notification light on a phone without an LED?
Yes. Most new phones dropped the LED, but an app can draw a light on the screen instead. AuraDisplay puts a glowing ring around the punch-hole camera, or a glow along the screen edge, on the lock screen and the Always-On Display.
Why doesn't the ring line up with my camera?
Every phone puts its camera in a slightly different place, and browsers add their own bars. Use the sliders to move and resize the ring. The real app reads your phone's cutout position from Android, with a calibration step if it needs adjusting.
Is this how it looks on the Always-On Display?
Close to it. On the Always-On Display the screen refreshes about once a second, so the light shows steadily instead of pulsing smoothly. Turn off the pulse switch here to see that look.
Does this preview drain my battery?
Only while the page is open and full screen, like any web page. A black screen with one small ring uses very little power on an OLED screen, which is also why on-screen notification lights work well.
